State Department for Forestry Strengthens Accountability Through Performance Contract Signing

On 2nd February 2026, the State Department for Forestry concluded the signing of the FY 2025/2026 Performance Contracts, marking an important step in strengthening accountability, service delivery, and results-based management.
During the exercise, Heads of Departments signed their performance contracts with the Principal Secretary, Mr. Gitonga Mugambi, and presented their validated half-year performance reports for FY 2025/26.
The exercise reaffirmed the Department’s commitment to transparent performance monitoring, continuous improvement, and effective implementation of its mandate in sustainable forest management and environmental conservation.
