GOVERNMENT STRENGTHENS COORDINATION OF DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS THROUGH NGAO ENGAGEMENT.

The Principal Secretary for the State Department for Forestry, Gitonga Mugambi,  senior government officials at Tharaka University for an engagement with National Government Administration Officers (NGAO) aimed at strengthening coordination in the implementation of Government development programmes across the region.

The forum focused on enhancing awareness of ongoing and upcoming Government projects, improving inter-agency collaboration, and ensuring the timely implementation of national programmes in line with grassroots development priorities. The engagement reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to a coordinated approach in delivering services and accelerating socio-economic transformation at the community level.

National Government Administration Officers were encouraged to continue playing their critical role in coordinating Government initiatives, facilitating effective communication between national and county-level institutions, and supporting the successful implementation of development programmes that directly benefit citizens.

The meeting brought together leaders from various Government ministries and agencies, reflecting a whole-of-government approach to development and service delivery.

Among those in attendance were the Cabinet Secretary for Water, Sanitation and Irrigation, Eric Mugaa; Principal Secretary for Diaspora Affairs, Roseline Njogu; Principal Secretary for Blue Economy and Fisheries, Betsy Njagi; Principal Secretary for Co-operatives, Patrick Kilemi; Director General of the Kenya Wildlife Service, Erastus Kanga; Chief of Protocol in the Office of the Deputy President, Gideon Kimathi Mutwiri; and elected leaders from the region.

The engagement underscored the importance of strengthened coordination among Government institutions in advancing national development priorities, improving service delivery, and ensuring that development programmes are implemented efficiently and effectively for the benefit of all Kenyans.
