DIGITAL INTERGRATION TAKES CENTER STAGE IN FORESTRY PERFOMANCE REVIEW MEETING.
Digital transformation and enhanced reporting systems took centre stage during the Third Quarter FY 2025/2026 Performance Contract Validation Meeting chaired by Secretary Administration Mr. Patrick Meso.
The meeting brought together officials to review progress in the implementation of the Performance Contract, Medium Term Plan IV (MTP IV) targets, and Non-Financial Reporting Frameworks, with a focus on strengthening performance monitoring and institutional accountability.
Speaking during the session, Mr. Meso underscored the importance of integrated digital reporting systems in supporting efficient government operations. He noted that technology-driven platforms are essential for enabling real-time data sharing, evidence-based decision-making, and improved coordination across departments and agencies.
According to Mr. Meso, the adoption of digital solutions will play a critical role in enhancing efficiency, accountability, and service delivery while ensuring timely tracking of performance indicators and development outcomes.
The meeting also reviewed progress made towards achieving key performance targets and examined strategies for strengthening reporting mechanisms to support effective implementation of government programmes and projects.
The validation exercise forms part of the Government’s ongoing public sector reform agenda aimed at accelerating digital integration, improving productivity, and enhancing institutional performance. It also supports the implementation of national development priorities under the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) and the Medium Term Plan IV framework.
Participants reaffirmed their commitment to leveraging technology and innovation to improve performance management systems and strengthen the delivery of services to citizens, in line with the Government’s broader vision of building an efficient, responsive, and digitally enabled public sector.
